- I just uploaded www_and_frame-0.2.tar.Z to info.cern.ch in
- pub/incoming.
-
- Changes:
-
- * HTML files are now treated as text entities and thus don't
- require the <!DOCTYPE HTML SYSTEM> "framing tags."
-
- * Quotes and other Frame characters are converted to something
- sane
-
- * Named anchors convert nicely.
-
- In general, it's possible to grab the source of a web document,
- save it in an .html file, fire up framemaker, edit it, save it
- back out, and browse it with www again. (be careful with relative
- anchors...)
-
- It's also possible to develop a whole local web of Frame documents
- and then save them as HTML and put them on a server (you have to
- stick to the HTML tags... can't use just any old frame files). It makes
- a nice compliment to the MidasWWW browser.
-
- Have fun!
